Billions of euros have been made available for investment in the military sector after the German constitution was amended and approved by the Federal Council. Berlin-based industries and startups are shifting their focus to benefit from the financial package. One such project is an AI combat drone that can track and destroy enemy drones at speeds of 250 kilometers per hour. The technology is one of 40 projects developed at the German Army’s Cyber Innovation Center in Berlin and is now being used by the military. After the German parliament approved tax exemptions for military spending, arms companies and startups are looking to attract capital. Some of this capital is likely to flow to Berlin, where the Cyber Innovation Hub project has created a platform for cooperation between technology and the military industry.
